Masterclass ESG for Financials

Masterclass ESG for Financials

Starting from 2024 all listed companies will be required to report on sustainability. From 2025, this reporting obligation even applies to companies with at least 250 employees, a turnover of €20 million and/or a balance sheet total of €40 million. How do you handle ESG reporting? Today’s chaos requires decisive steering from strategy to workplace. When circumstances change, a traditional operating system is not enough. Introducing ESG, by activity, in a data-driven way, ensures that it becomes part of daily work.

What can you expect?

As said, starting in 2025, it becomes mandatory for many companies to disclose Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data following the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) issued by the European Commission. The CSRD introduces new concepts such as the double materiality assessment, and requires an audit of the ESG data, with similar strictness to what is required for the annual consolidated financial statements. In this masterclass, you will be given a hands-on understanding of what is involved in implementing the CSRD in your company, combined with stories shared from the field. The masterclass is specifically aimed at Finance Professionals, presenting ESG in context of their day-to-day work.

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Environmental indicators and a deep dive into Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Social indicators
  • Governance indicators
  • Practical considerations when implementing the ESG indicators
